Android eSIM Setup Guide
Thank you for choosing eSIMgo! In this guide, you'll learn how to properly set up your eSIM and use the key features of this service.
First, for every device you must verify that the device is compatible with eSIM technology. Not all devices support eSIMs, so it's important to check this first.

General Steps
We recommend installing the eSIM the day before your departure. Upon arrival at your destination, select our eSIM for 'mobile data' in your phone settings.
Use QR code installation when scanning from another device. Otherwise, follow the manual installation instructions.
Choose your device
What you need
- An eSIM-compatible Android device
- Stable WiFi connection
- Your QR code (email or dashboard)
Samsung
Galaxy S20 and newer, Galaxy Z Flip/Fold
QR Code Installation
Open Settings
Go to Settings > Connections.
Open SIM Manager
Tap "SIM card manager" or "SIM Manager".
Add eSIM
Under "eSIMs", tap "+ Add eSIM" to start the installation.
Scan QR Code
Select "Scan QR code from service provider" and scan the QR code from your email.
Add plan
Wait for the plan to be detected and tap "Add". Name your eSIM e.g. "eSIMgo Travel".
Enable data roaming
At destination: Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks and enable "Data roaming" for your eSIMgo eSIM.
Samsung: Manual Installation
If you can't scan the QR code:
- Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
- Tap "Add mobile plan" > "Scan QR code"
- Tap "Enter activation code"
- Enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code
Google Pixel
Pixel 3a and newer
QR Code Installation
Open Settings
Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
Add SIM
Tap the "+" icon next to your existing mobile plan.
Download SIM
Tap "Download a SIM instead" and confirm with "Next".
Scan QR Code
Scan the QR code from your email. If needed, tap "Need help?" > "Enter manually".
Download plan
Wait for the plan to be detected and tap "Download". Name your eSIM e.g. "eSIMgo Travel".
Enable data roaming
At destination: Go to Settings > Network & Internet > your eSIM and enable "Roaming".
Pixel: Manual Installation
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > "+" next to your plan
- Tap "Download a SIM instead"
- Tap "Need help?" > "Enter manually"
- Enter the activation code from your email
Important Notes
- ⚠️Never delete the eSIM from your device – it cannot be used again
- ⚠️Only enable data roaming at your destination
- ⚠️Make sure you have a stable WiFi connection during installation
